This article was dear to my heart as I know a lot of internal trainers who want to become entrepreneurs or consultants.

Truth is it's good reading for anyone thinking of going out on their own or early on their journey.

I reprinted the article in LinkedIn as it is only for ATD members in their ATD Links Newsletter. ATD stands for Association for Talent Development and is the world’s largest association dedicated to talent development professionals.

ATD started in 1944 when the organization held its first annual conference and today boasts members from more than 120 countries who work in organizations of all sizes and in all industry sectors.
